While I had my own unique journey to overall wellness, my past history of failed diet attempts, challenging relationships with food, and battles with negative self-image aren't unique to me. As I started my journey to become a healthier person, I found that almost everyone I talked to about health and fitness was only taking a one-prong approach to becoming healthier. Macros, or macronutrients, are the building blocks of nutrition: protein, fats, and carbohydrates. Each one serves a vital role in your health and wellness, and finding a balance that suits you is key. COMPASS macro coaching works to eliminate the guesswork from dieting, instead, using your ideal ratio of macronutrients to propel you toward your goals.
Macro counting taps into nutritional science to offer a smarter way to eat well.
Depending on your goals, you'll aim for specific macronutrient targets, such as a certain number of protein grams, fat grams, and carbohydrate grams.
With macro counting, you can reap the benefits of both structure and flexibility in your diet. Because you aren't eliminating entire food groups or feeling trapped by an overly restrictive diet, counting macros enables you to make a positive and long-term lifestyle shift.
